When you are a bride, your cheeks hurt on your wedding day. You just smile SO MUCH, it can’t be helped. Well last Saturday, Ashley and Adam’s wedding was so full of happy families and so many jokes, MY cheeks hurt at the end of it. I couldn’t stop laughing along all day.
And WHAT a location! It was my first wedding session out at Cork and Crate Farms and it was FANTASTIC! What a hidden gem! It is moments like this that make being an Alberta Wedding Photographer such a pleasure.
Farm Properties have become popular wedding venues in the Calgary region. But this one, just outside Olds, is so central, you can access it was every major city in Alberta in an easy day trip. The property is immaculate and perfectly caters to weddings. The owners were fabulous to work with and so accommodating to vendors like myself and the facilities are modern and clean. It is a photography haven with patches of beauty all over.
The day was lovely and warm without being too hot and it was a little hazy without being too smokey. The sun poked through just in time for the ceremony and the whole day went off without a hitch. Well except for the couple that got hitched off course.
There is a much space and light to get ready. It was a family affair without the bride’s mothers, three sisters and best friend attending her.
No peeking before the wedding, Ashley and Adam shared a prayer (eyes closed) before the ceremony. The a teary daddy and daughter first look before heading off down the aisle with his eldest daughter.
Check out these amazing portraits in various locations around Cork and Crate Farms!
The reception was low key, in a lovely breezy tent. Mucho Burrito in Airdrie came out to cater a most delicious dinner! There was a pie buffet for dessert. The evening had all the usual formalities and festivities, but with the added bonus of jokes and laughter of course!
Amazing day! Amazing families. May God bless this union of two happy souls ready to get on with creating a new life together. Congratulations to Ashley and Adam!
